PEDDAPALLY: Upping his ante agaisnt the state government for forcefully acquiring lands under GO 123, TJAC chairman Prof M Kodandaram, along with other JAC leaders, participated in a meeting in Manthani on Friday. The meeting focused on land acquisition and the rights of farmers.
Addressing the Kaleshwaram project oustees, he said that state should have explained the difference between GO 123 and Land Acquisition Act 2013 to the ryots before acquiring their lands.

To send a strong message to the government, the JAC will conduct a conference in Hyderabad on November 20. The conference would come up with an action plan would be announced to take up agitation against government along with land oustees,.
The chairman said that the conference is important for land oustees of various projects who have not yet received compensation. Land oustees across the state need to unite to fight for protecting their rights.
