HYDERABAD: A medical student jumped from the terrace of his apartment and died in Nalgonda district of Telangana. He allegedly committed suicide due to lack of interest in continuing his education.

Y Sai Kumar Reddy had secured the 147th rank in EAMCET-III held recently and won admission to the Osmania Medical College [OMC] in Hyderabad. Classes commenced one month ago and Reddy began going to class 15 days back.

Two days ago, Sai Kumar Reddy went home to Nalgonda. According to the medical student's parents, Reddy told them he was not being given a clear view of the practical demos in the OMC laboratory and was being forced to stand far away from the table. Reddy told them that he was no more interested in continuing his studies and wanted to drop out. The parents persuaded him to carry on.

Late last night, Sai Kumar Reddy went up to the terrace of his five-storeyed apartment and jumped to his death. The medical student left behind a suicide note stating that he was no longer interested in studies.
