HYDERABAD: The TPCC, as part of its Mission 2019, has decided to expose failures of the TRS government in an organised and aggressive manner.
After a day-long with senior leaders, TPCC chief N Uttam Kumar Reddy said, “The strategy for 2019 general elections was discussed during the meeting. Similar meetings would be held at least once in every three months.”

Uttam Kumar Reddy said the Congress have decided to expose the irregularities in the irrigation tenders called by the TRS government.
Condemning the behaviour of police, he alleged that the government was misusing the police force to harass Congress leaders and workers and said that Congress would launch ‘Jail Bharo’ campaign if the police fail to mend its approach towards opposition parties.

Regarding shifting of Dharna Chowk from Indira Park, he said a massive agitation would be launched in consultation with other opposition parties and groups. The TPCC chief also accused the TRS of downplaying the ongoing drinking water crisis in the state. He said several areas in the state were not getting adequate supply of drinking water. However, the government is making false claims of supplying water to all the areas. He also condemned the TRS Government for its failure to address the issues concerning farmers. Citing an instance, he said the government has failed to help nearly one lakh chilli farmers who were hit due to falling prices. Both State and Central governments have been acting as mute spectators as chilli farmers were burning their produce in anger and disappointment, he said and demanded the government too procure chilli directly from ryots at the rate of `12,000 per quintal.
