TSPCB vows to act against KKS Organics over pollution row

In a bizarre case, representatives of an industrial unit from Industrial Development Authority (IDA) Patancheru on Thursday, complained that another company, KKS Organics was indulging in pollution.

HYDERABAD: In a bizarre case, representatives of an industrial unit from Industrial Development Authority (IDA) Patancheru on Thursday, complained that another company, KKS Organics was indulging in pollution.

Following the complaint, Telangana State Pollution Control Board (TSPCB) decided to take up an investigation and promised to take necessary legal action against the company.

TSPCB officials inspected the units of KKS Organics when it observed that it the company was involved in solvent recovery and found non-compliance regarding pollution control measures.  

The issue was raised in a meeting held between P Satyanarayana Reddy, Member Secretary (MS) of TSPCB, E Venkata Narsimha Reddy, managing director of TSIIC and D Srinivas Reddy, revenue divisional officer, Sangareddy along with other representatives in separate meetings held at IDA  Patancheru and IDA Pashamailaram.
