Deputy Chief Minister to flag off first Haj flight

The pilgrims set to fly in the first two Haj flights to Jeddah in Saudi Arabia arrived at Haj House in morning hours.

HYDERABAD: The pilgrims set to fly in the first two Haj flights to Jeddah in Saudi Arabia arrived at Haj House in morning hours. Secretary to Minorities Welfare Department, Telangana government, Syed Omer Jaleel and Special Officer to Telangana State Haj committee SA Shakoor received the pilgrims at the camp and wished them a happy journey and acceptance of their Haj. 

The first Haj flight is scheduled to take off from the Haj Terminal of the Rajiv Gandhi International Airport at 2.50 am on August 14. 

The pilgrims, clad in Ehram (two white unstitched cloth sheets) will leave Haj Camp for airport in Special RTC buses on the night of August 13.

Deputy Chief Minister Mohammed Mahmood Ali will flag off the first flight. Higher government officials and dignitaries will be present on the occasion. Altogether, 14 flights with 450 pilgrims each will leave for Jeddah.
