‘Kodandaram holding prog only for the sake of his Koluvu’

Accusing the TJAC chairman M Kodandaram of joining hands with the opposition parties only tarnish the image of the state government, ruling TRS on Saturday said Kodandaram was holding Koluvula kai Kot

HYDERABAD: Accusing the TJAC chairman M Kodandaram of joining hands with the opposition parties only tarnish the image of the state government, ruling TRS on Saturday said Kodandaram was holding Koluvula kai Kotlata programme only for the sake of he getting a “Koluvu” (job). “How can the TJAC chairman hold the meeting on Monday by inviting the Congress Party, which is responsible for the unemployment problem not only in the State but also across the country? Why is Kodandaram not demanding the BJP government at the Centre to keep its promise of creating one crore jobs in the country?” TRS leaders led by MLC Palla Rajeshwar Reddy and MP Balka Suman criticised here.

Addressing reporters, Rajeshwar Reddy came down heavily on the TJAC chairman, saying that Kodandaram was holding the Monday meeting in order to help the “jobless politicos” in the State. He said Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao had never promised that his government would provide government job to one person in each family in the State. “But, opposition parties and TJAC are undertaking a propaganda against the government over creation of new jobs and filling of vacant posts in the government,” he said.

According to the TRS leader, Chief Minister Rao had earlier promised in the State Assembly that the government was committed to fill 1.12 lakh vacancies in various departments. In accordance with this promise, the government had so far filled 27,000 vacant posts, where as it was taking steps to recruit people for another 63,000 posts.“Kodandaram seems to be working with a single point agenda of providing employment to jobless politicos in the State. That is why he is holding Monday’s meeting by inviting all the jobless politicians belonging to various opposition parties,” TRS MP Balka Suman attacked.
