Hyderabad High Court  seeks Anti-Corruption Bureau’s report on Revanth Reddy’s complaint

 High Court on Wednesday directed the Anti Corruption Bureau of Telangana to inform it by December 13 whether it had received any application/complaint from Congress leader.

HYDERABAD: The High Court on Wednesday directed the Anti Corruption Bureau of Telangana to inform it by December 13 whether it had received any application/complaint from Congress leader and legislator A Revanth Reddy and, if it received it, what action was taken on it.Reddy approached the court over ACB’s inaction on his complaint lodged on August 31 against alleged illegal collection of money from various organisations, institutions and individuals by state ministers in the name of ‘Gulabi Coolie’ for the purpose of holding their party plenary and public meeting in Warangal in April this year.

He urged the ACB to register cases against ministers for collecting huge funds illegally. The senior counsel contended that the collection of money by ministers would fall under Sections 7, 11 and 13 of the Prevention of Corruption Act. While adjourning the case, the judge asked the standing counsel for to submit full details by December 13 regarding whether the ACB received any application from the petitioner.
