Over 1.3 crore students in India are unemployed

He added that over 1.3 crore students have been waiting for job opportunities, even China can’t accommodate such a huge number of employees.

HYDERABAD: “The Central and state governments together have been spending Rs 11,000 crore per day for various activities in India. We also have enough technology and resources, but we are the fourth country from the last in the 49 largest economies in the world,” Dr Jaya Prakash Narayana said. He was the chief guest in an interactive session on ‘Youth for Nation Building’ at Gitam (Deemed to be University) in the city on Tuesday.

He added that over 1.3 crore students have been waiting for job opportunities, even China can’t accommodate such a huge number of employees. He also expressed his unhappiness  over India being 73 rank in education, 24 in healthcare, and has over 2.7 crore of pending cases in various courts, etc. Dr Jaya Prakash appealed to the budding engineers that they have to fulfil the need of the society and thus, pave the way for employment.
