NALGONDA: A 16-year-old girl was allegedly gang-raped over four days by three men, including a local TRS leader, at Thirumalagiri village in Suryapet district. As per the police complaint lodged by the girl’s father, the TRS man Vuyyala Venkanna, husband of local MPTC from Nemmali village in Nalgonda, and two others locked her up in a room and sexually assaulted her for four days.

The victim hails from Narketpally mandal in Nalgonda. On Monday, P Kalamma, a resident of her village, told her they needed an unmarried girl to participate in a puja. She promised to pay her if she participated.

The girl agreed and went to Thirumalagiri with Kalamma, Venkanna, Vinod Kumar, Raju and Renuka. On Tuesday, Vinod asked the girl to participate in the puja naked. She refused. The three men forced her to consume beer. Once she was unconscious, Vinod, Raju and Venkanna raped her.

When the girl got home on Friday, she told her father what had happened. He lodged a complaint with Narketpally police on Saturday and a case was registered. Police have launched a manhunt for the accused.
