K Chandrasekhar Rao to fly to Tirupati today

Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao will leave for Tirupati in a special flight on Tuesday. He will present “Gold Saligrama Haram” to Lord Venkateswara Swamy in Tirumala and also bestow a gold necklace

HYDERABAD: Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao will leave for Tirupati in a special flight on Tuesday. He will present “Gold Saligrama Haram” to Lord Venkateswara Swamy in Tirumala and also bestow a gold necklace on goddess Padmavathi on Wednesday.

Rao had earlier vowed to present valuable gifts to temples in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana, once Telangana achieved statehood.

Staying true to his promise, Rao presented a golden crown to Bhadrakali in Warangal. Now, he plans to strike Tirupati off his list. He is going to visit the temple on Tuesday along with his family members. Ministers E Rajender, T Harish Rao, A Indra Karan Reddy and Nizamabad MP K Kavitha will also accompany the Chief Minister.

The CM will leave from Begumpet airport in a special flight at 3:45 pm on Tuesday and reach Tirupati. He will stay for the night at a guesthouse in Tirumala.

He will present the gifts to the deities on Wednesday. Later, he will attend a marriage at Pushpagiri Mutt in Tirumala. He is scheduled to leave Renigunta airport at 11:50 pm on Wednesday and return to Begumpet airport at 1:45 pm.
