HYDERABAD: TDP TS unit working president A Revanth Reddy has demanded that the Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao immediately sack the housing minister Allola Indrakaran Reddy for not meeting the target of constructing double bedroom houses, especially in the minister’s native village Yellampally in the past two-and-a-half years.

In an open letter to the Chief Minister, written here on Friday, the TDP MLA alleged that the housing minister had failed to ensure construction of even one double bedroom house in Yellampally, of the 200 houses sanctioned for the village. “How can a lawmaker, who has completely failed to accomplish the task of constructing 2BHK houses in his own village, be allowed to continue as the housing minister of the State? Even though, 200 houses were sanctioned to his village, not even a single house has  been constructed so far.

This shows how inefficient the housing minister is. Hence, the CM should immediately remove Indrakaran Reddy from the State Cabinet for his incompetency,” he said.
According to the TDP leader, only 976 2BHK houses have  been built across the State in the past three years. “This government gave administrative sanction to the construction of 2.72 lakh houses across the State, earlier. Of them, a total of 976 houses have been built across the State so far, including the number of houses constructed in Hyderabad,” Revanth said.
