HYDERABAD: Telangana Congress leaders, who have been attacking CM K Chandrasekhar Rao by questioning his act of presenting ‘thank-offerings’ to Gods with taxpayers’ money to fulfil, on Sunday took a different route to corner the Chief Minister.

“The arrogance of power had led KCR to even forget God. For the same reason, he did not remember the vows that he made to God for almost 33 months. But, the recent agitations from various sections of people on non-implementation of TRS poll promises, refreshed KCR’s memory and he started recalling the vows, one after the other,” TPCC chief N Uttam Kumar Reddy said.

The TPCC president remarked saying that the CM ould not get solace by making donations to temples using public money. Instead, he advised, the CM should use personal funds to fulfil his vows to god.

While addressing Jana Avedana Sammelanam public meeting held at Shadnagar on Sunday, Reddy, accompanied by ex-Union minister S Jaipal Reddy, MLA DK Aruna, MLC K Damodar Reddy and others, said, “CM KCR appears to be mentally disturbed due to the rising discontent among people against the government. Having realised that he could not cheat or mislead people any more, he has now turned towards gods, seeking refuge.”
