HYDERABAD: The state government will give priority to SC/ST localities in villages while constructing Cement Concrete (CC) roads under MGNREGS (Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Scheme).
Laying of CC roads without drains in rural areas under MGNREGS in convergence with Gram Panchayat funds will be taken up under the project “Pucca Internal Roads within a village with convergence funds,” and 20 percent of the cost of each work should be borne by the respective Gram Panchayat. The works in convergence with MGNREGS will be finalised by a committee in districts headed by the collector.
