HYDERABAD: Mincing no words in saying that the present dispensation has failed to fulfil aspirations of people of state, Telangana Joint Action Committee chairman M Kodandaram said the failure of the government gives scope for an alternative leadership to emerge.
“TJAC has to put in all efforts to develop such an alternative leadership and we will,” he said at an interaction held by Advocates JAC on the topic, ‘Alternative Politics’, here on Tuesday. Kodandaram said the agitation for separate state was primarily against the domination by Andhra rulers.
“Even after the formation, Andhra domination continues. If judges are appointed to HC, at least half of them should be from TS but only one of the five judges appointed is from TS,” he alleged and said there was no adequate representation to the state. “They (Andhra people) are still dominating as film stars, contractors and also as politicians,” TJAC chief said.
“The policies of the present dispensation are not acceptable to us,” he said adding that they were discussing alternative politics.
Amidst rumours that he was likely to emerge as a rallying point for Opposition to fight against TRS, he said one individual would emerge as the rallying point if a platform fighting for alternative leadership emerged.
