Block child pornography handles: CID on James Kirk case

The laptop seized from the accused contained  29,288 items of child pornographic videos and images 490 GigaTribe profiles and 24 twitter handlers and profiles sharing child pornography.

HYDERABAD: Telangana Crime Investigation Department (CID) officials, who are investigating into the online activities of US national James Kirk Jones for possessing and sharing of child porn, will now write to Twitter and other social networking sites to block and remove the user IDs and handles created by the accused.

Downloading, uploading and watching child pornography videos are banned in many countries. The laptop seized from the accused contained  29,288 items of child pornographic videos and images 490 GigaTribe profiles and 24 twitter handlers and profiles sharing child pornography.

“The forensic lab officials will collect these materials and submit a report,’’ the CID officials said.

“We found that the accused James Kirk Jones indulged in downloading, uploading and watching child pornography videos on various social networking sites by creating different handles and user IDs. However, he did not indulge in physical sexual assault on any child. A special team has been formed to find out illegal activities of accused,” a senior officer of CID said.
