HYDERABAD: A 10-month-old infant boy and a man were tested positive for swine flu in the city.
The infant hails from Bibingar in Yadadri Bhuvanagiri district. He was shifted from a private hospital to state run Gandhi Hospital. Besides, two others were admitted at the government hospital suspecting the flu. A steady number of swine flu cases were being reported from the city. On Sunday, a total of seven people were tested positive.

On Tuesday night, a 58-year-old woman from Hyderabad, who tested positive for swine flu , died at the hospital. On the whole, a total of three women suffering from it died.

As many as 10 deaths were reported and and 165 out of 3,122 cases tested positive from August 2016 to January 20.

The adult male is getting treated at Nizam’s Institute of Medical Sciences (NIMS). Health minister C Laxma Reddy visited the patient on Saturday during his visit to the institute. Besides, some more patients are getting treated at various private hospitals in the city.

The minister stated that sufficient number of testing kits and viral transport medium kits have been made available.
