‘Samajika Telangana’ is BJP’s battle cry

In order to effectively launch a counter propaganda against TRS’ ‘Bangaru Telangana’ slogan, BJP has decided to go with the catchphrase ‘Samajika Telangana’ as part of its attempt to win the state.

HYDERABAD: In order to effectively launch a counter propaganda against TRS’ ‘Bangaru Telangana’ slogan, BJP has decided to go to people with the catchphrase ‘Samajika Telangana’ as part of its attempt to win the state. 


During its programme, Pandit Deendayal Jansatabdi Karya Vistar Yojana to be organised from May 29 to June 12 at grassroots with 8,000 workers across TS, the party will primarily focus on winning over weaker sections of the society. 


All the 8,000 full-time workers, Vistaraks, will take part in this exercise for 15 days by touring 32,000 polling booths.

They have been asked to focus their campaign on how BJP, if it comes to power, will bring social justice in the state. They will also explain how the Centre is implementing welfare measures for the benefit of weaker sections.


“Our campaign will focus on how to achieve Samajika Telangana, wherein social justice will prevail,” BJP state spokesperson Krishna Saagar Rao commented. “After its stellar performances in UP, Uttarakhand, Manipur, Goa, and Delhi municipal polls, BJP workers in TS will undertake door-to-door visits with Samajika Telangana slogan,” he said.


According to sources, the 8,000 Vistaraks, will gather data on caste composition in each village and Mandal to guide the party leadership.


Meanwhile, BJP central leadership decided to distribute motorcycles to full-time workers to propagate government schemes, as it did in UP. As many as 120 bikes were dispatched to party state headquarters on Wednesday.
