HYDERABAD: With at least 25 women coming forward to lodge complaints regarding NRI matrimonial disputes in the state every year, Tripurana Venkataratnam, chairperson, Telangana State Commission for Women (TSCW) will be putting forth recommendations at the national level consultation to be held in New Delhi on May 26.
Further discussions on the draft, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for women involved in NRI matrimonial disputes will be held, she told mediapersons on Saturday.
The draft is being designed by the Ministry of Women and Child Development (MWCD). The SOPs, besides enabling justice for women, will also serve as an effective reference manual for courts and police departments across the country, she added.
