HYDERABAD: Hitting out at Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao over the unemployment issue, Telangana Joint Action Committee (TJAC) chairman M Kodandaram alleged that instead of filling permanent posts, the government was encouraging outsourcing and contract appointments only to loot people’s money. “The government has so far several times issued notifications to fill teachers posts. But till now, not a single job has been filled. Lakhs of unemployed youth are desperately waiting for jobs.

Hence, despite the restrictions being imposed on our activities, the TJAC will intensify agitations in support of unemployed youth. We will continue to corner the government by orgnaising agitations, till it fulfil its promise of creating two lakh government jobs for the unemployed youth,” he said after calling off his 24-hour hunger strike.

Kodandaram said the state government was targeting him as he was questioning its failures and unfulfilled promises on behalf of the people. He said TJAC steering committee will meet on November 5 to chalk out its next round of agitational programmes.
