HYDERABAD: A division bench of the Hyderabad High Court has recently directed the power transmission corporations of both AP and Telangana states to take a decision in four months to fill the posts pursuant to the notifications issued in the years 2011 and 2012. The bench has set aside the earlier order of the court issued in June 2014 directing to conduct re-examination for the posts of sub-engineers, linemen, junior linemen, junior assistants and so on as per the above notifications.

The bench of Acting Chief Justice Ramesh Ranganathan and Justice Challa Kodanda Ram was passing this order in a plea by some aspiring candidates challenging the order of a single judge who directed the corporations to conduct the exam again in six months, to reduce the weightage marks from 45 to 20 for the in-service candidates (contract employees) and to allocate two marks for one year service. The bench directed the corporations of both the states to take a decision as per law in filling the above posts.
