Ryots agree to register lands for construction of Gajwel ring road

SIDDIPET: Negotiations between collector P Venkatram Reddy and farmers regarding land acquisition in Rimmanaguda village of Gajwel mandal for construction of canals for Mallanna Sagar, Konda Pochamma and also Gajwel ring road, were fruitful. On Tuesday, Reddy held discussion with Rimmanaguda farmers and disclosed the compensation being offered. He said government agreed to pay `16.90 lakh per acre for construction of ring road and about 57 acres are to be acquired. About 72 farmers agreed to register their lands for the same, he added. Also, Rimmanaguda ryots agreed to register lands for construction of canal for `11.40 lakh per acre.
