HYDERABAD: A TRS party activist was found murdered under mysterious circumstances in Lingaiah Nagar in Balkampet in the city in the wee hours of Thursday.  The body of  V Srinivasa Rao, 40, who hailed from West Godavari district of Andhra Pradesh,  was found near an under-construction building at Sanathnagar.

On Wednesday night, Rao complained to SR Nagar police that some persons were consuming liquor and creating nuisance in front of his home. When a police party visited the spot, they found none. Some time later, Rao, along with three others, went to an under-construction building to drink alcohol. In the early hours of Thursday, passers-by saw Rao’s body beside the under-construction building.

Sanathnagar police  found a bleeding injury to Rao’s head. He was suspected to have been thrown from the building after being killed. Police also found four glasses and liquor bottles at the spot suggesting that the victim, along with  three others, had consumed alcohol there the previous night.  Police, however, ruled out political rivalry and said it was due to personal enmity.
