Cong creating hurdles in development of TS: KTR

Blaming Congress for all the backwardness of the state, Minister for Municipal Administration and Urban Development KT Rama Rao gave a call to people to bury Congress.

WARANGAL: Blaming Congress for all the backwardness of the state, Minister for Municipal Administration and Urban Development KT Rama Rao gave a call to people to bury Congress.
Addressing a party meeting after launching various development programmes at Hanamkonda on Saturday, Rama Rao said Congress is creating hurdles in the development of the state. “They have ruined the state for 60 long years and until they are buried deep into the earth we cannot achieve Bangaru Telangana. The  party should be finished in the state,” he said.

Criticising Congress for creating hurdles in the construction of irrigation projects and other initiatives of the government, he said such actions can not desist the government from going ahead with projects. “Agitations are not new to us. We have undertaken a lot of them. I was even jailed. So do not try to create fear among us,” he said.

Earlier, speaking after launching Chenetha Mithra scheme, he stated that the government was committed for the welfare of weavers and working towards providing all facilities for the growth of handlooms in the state. He said weaving was the second biggest employment provider after agriculture and the government was very keen in developing this sector. Kakatiya Mega Textile Park in Warangal Rural district plays a vital role in the development of weaver community, he said.

He said the government had allocated `1,283 crore for the development of weavers under Chenetha Mithra. “This scheme is very useful to weavers as they get about 50 per cent concession on all inputs. This would go a long way in helping weavers,” he said. “Over 40,000 families in the state depend on weaving.
The government waived personal loans of 4,000 families providing pensions of `1,000 per month to all eligible weavers and even providing huge subsidy on all inputs,” he added.
