‘Compensation’ soon for ORR project oustees

HMDA proposes to develop layouts, comprising plots of various denominations, for allotment to these villagers

HYDERABAD:The villagers from whom lands were acquired for construction of the Outer Ring Road project are likely to get their compensation soon. The Hyderabad Metropolitan Development Authority has now proposed to develop layouts, comprising plots of various denominations, for allotment to the villagers of Koheda, Adibatla, Shamshabad, Mangalpally,  Pedda Amberpet,  Yadgarpally and Kondapur.

The Koheda layout development would be taken up by the HMDA, while for the other sites the authority plans to develop the layouts under public-private partnership (PPP) mode.Initially, the HMDA proposed layout development on 100 acres of land in survey number 507 at Koheda village in Hayathnagar Mandal on city outskirts under Resettlement and Rehabilitation (R&R scheme). Around 1,111 plots have been allotted to the affected families in August 2016.The seventh board meeting of HMDA, held recently, gave approval to take up the work at an estimated cost of `51 crore.
