Telangana: JAC calls off strike, assures smooth conduct of SSC, intermediate and degree examinations

HYDERABAD:The conduct of SSC, intermediate and degree examinations is likely to be done peacefully as the KG to PG Joint Action Committee has called off its strike for now. A second round of talk of the JAC with the deputy chief minster (education) Kadiyam Srihari ended successfully on Monday   
With the minister assuring that the all demands of the JAC will be looked into and an amicable solution will be reached, the impasse has been resolved JAC has called off the boycott and assured smooth conduct of examinations.

All examinations - SSC, intermediate and degree will now be held as per the schedule and will have the support of the private educational institutions as well.  “The education minister has agreed to all our demands. In view of his request and the future of the children we have decided to called off our protest. We are satisfied with the outcome of the meeting,” said Ramana Reddy, president of the JAC.   In addition, Srihari has also assured that a meeting with the education department officials would be convened on  March 5, where all demands of the JAC would be discussed.

Srihari said, “The government is in favour of the management of educational institutions. I will try to solve problems and those that are not in our ambit or involve financial implications, would be placed before the CM.”  JAC leaders reiterated their demand for fee hike and said a minimum of 10% per annum enhancement is a must in private colleges.
