HYDERABAD: Exactly a week after he had indicated the possibility of opting for early polls, Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao on Sunday called on Governor ESL Narasimhan at Raj Bhavan.
It is believed that during the meeting, KCR discussed about the chances and prospects of holding early polls to State Assembly, besides explaining to the Governor about various welfare measures and development works being implemented by the State government.

As the Chief Minister and his son KT Rama Rao, who is IT and Industries Minister, have been talking about the likelihood of the ruling TRS opting for early elections in the State for the past one week, KCR’s sudden meeting with Governor triggered further speculation on political circles.

Earlier, former prime minister and JD(S) national president HD Deve Gowda, who was in Hyderabad on Sunday to attend the marriage of Congress leader and industrialist T Subbirami Reddy’s grandson, met Chief Minister KCR at Pragathi Bhavan here. IT minister KT Rama Rao and Hyderabad Mayor Bonthu Rammohan were also present during the meeting.

It is learnt that during the meeting the two leaders talked about the current political situation in the country, apart from discussing about the possibility of the Central government holding early polls to Lok Sabha.
It is believed that KCR’s proposal to form a Federal  Front at national level with non-BJP and non-Congress Parties also figured prominently in between the conversations between the two political veterans. Sources said that KCR explained about the Rythu Bandhu scheme to Deve Gowda. Later, Deve Gowda left for Bengaluru in a special flight from the Begumpet airport.
