Telangana: Finnish man found dead in ITC plant

An engineer from Finland, who was working for ITC paperboards, was found dead in his hostel room at Sarapaka village of Bhadradrikothagudem district on Friday.

KHAMMAM: An engineer from Finland, who was working for ITC paperboards, was found dead in his hostel room at Sarapaka village of Bhadradrikothagudem district on Friday.

Police said that Vizo Kalvi Korhanan (55) came to Chennai from Finland on June 16 through a Finnish consultancy. From there, he came to ITC paperboards through Valet consultancy for erecting machinery in new plant.

He was allotted a room in bachelor hostel by the company management. The staff at the guest house said that Korhanan had retired to his room after having dinner at the canteen on Thursday. On Friday morning, when he did not come out from his room till 8 am, the staff knocked on his door but received no response. Suspecting something was wrong, they broke open the door.

They found the engineer dead, and informed police. Police visited the spot and shifted the body to hospital. His family members were also informed. Police said that the engineer might have died of cardiac arrest.
