HYDERABAD: Governor ESL Narasimhan took a day out with his better half and walked into the Begumpet metro station without intimating anyone on Sunday. He reached the station at around 5.50 pm. Dressed in checkered full-sleeve shirt and trousers, the Governor appeared at ease amidst the regular passengers until he was noticed at the Ameerpet interchange station on his way to Miyapur.

HMRL managing director NVS Reddy, who was inspecting metro rail at Kukatpally, rushed to the Miyapur station as he was intimated by the staff at Ameerpet. A press release from HMRL said the Governor was against being received by anyone but later relented.

The MD then took the couple around the massive public space and showed him the facilities developed at the Miyapur station - art centre, inaugural plaza, water-less urinals, etc, and they were said to be highly impressed.

Later, the couple boarded another train to Begumpet via Ameerpet along with HMRL officials. The Governor is said to have advised HMRL to develop some stations as art museums on the lines of Moscow metro.
