HYDERABAD: Telangana will have an Aluminium foils factory soon with Prafful, a textile manufacturer, deciding to buy 12 to 10 acres of land in Jadcherla in Mahbubnagar district to set up such a factory at a cost of `250 crore. It will provide employment to around 250 people.
“It will be a mega industry,” official sources told Express on Wednesday. The aluminium foils will be used in food packaging and pharmaceutical packaging. From Hyderabad, Prafful will cater to the needs of all the southern states.
After India imposed anti-dumping duty last year on the aluminium foils imported from China, there is a lot of scope for the aluminium foils industry in Hyderabad, the officials explained. “The representatives of the company searched three places and decided to purchase a parcel of land in Jadcherla,” the sources said.
Adani to set up dry port: Adani Group, the country’s leading business house, is in touch with the State government to set up a dry port.
