HYDERABAD: Soon, Telanganites across the State would be greeted by a Robot-shaped Touch Screen Information Kiosk (RSTSIK) when they visit the citizen service centres at the Urban Local Bodies.
The Directorate of Municipal Administration’s (DMA) move is aimed at ensuring accountability, transparency and efficiency at the citizen service centres. The DMA, an apex authority of Municipal Administration Department, is currently providing integrated public services to citizens through Citizen Buddy app as well as other web-based apps.

With the RSTSIK the government not only aims at providing e-Governance service access to citizens but also make the government-citizen interaction more user-friendly. Under the system, an interactive user interface along with a centralised content management system will be developed with all the information of the corporation or municipality. CDMA proposes to use this infrastructure network for improving various operations related to civic services.

The CDMA has invited tenders for setting up the kiosks from various agencies. The kiosks would have signages containing the name of the ULB and logos of the State as well as CDMA.
These touch-screen kiosks would be installed and commissioned in ULBs across all Telangana districts barring Greater GHMC. The allotted agency would take up complete responsibility for the installation and testing of kiosks.
