Telangana: HC raps TSPSC for confusion in selection process

The bench asked the standing counsel for TSPSC as to why a re-examination was not conducted.

HYDERABAD: A division bench of the High Court on Tuesday directed the chairman of Telangana State Public Service Commission and the principal secretary to education to submit, within seven days, details of the process of selecting candidates for 304 posts of principals in state residential educational institutions.

“How can the process be continued when the TSPSC has itself deleted 67 questions in the examination conducted for the said posts,” the bench asked the TSPSC. The bench was dealing with a petition seeking a stay of the selection process. The bench asked the standing counsel for TSPSC as to why a re-examination was not conducted. When the standing counsel sought some time to respond, the bench adjourned the case by one week .
