Telangana: 63 junior colleges unfit to get fire department’s NOC for affiliation

No Objection Certificate from the fire department to the Telangana State Board of Intermediate Education(TSBIE). The buildings of these junior colleges are not fit for grant of NOC.

HYDERABAD: As the last day for grant of affiliation draws closer, there are still 63 junior colleges with buildings 15 metres or more high in Hyderabad, Rangareddy and Medchal districts which are yet to submit No Objection Certificate from the fire department to the Telangana State Board of Intermediate Education(TSBIE). The buildings of these junior colleges are not fit for grant of NOC.

TSBIE secretary A Ashok told mediapersons on Wednesday that the last day for junior colleges to submit all relevant documents, including NOC, to TSBIE for grant of affiliation is June 20. Asked if the 63 junior colleges would not be allowed to function if they failed to get the NOC by June 20, Ashok said the board was in talks with fire department and state government on the fate of these junior colleges which had all other necessary documents in place. Ruling out extension of time limit for applying for & granting affiliation to junior colleges, Ashok said deadline would not be pushed beyond June 20 this year.
