The Mangalhat police on Saturday registered criminal cases against unknown miscreants for throwing eggs on a place of worship located at Agapura locality.

HYDERABAD: The Mangalhat police on Saturday registered criminal cases against unknown miscreants for throwing eggs on a place of worship located at Agapura locality. However, police have deployed forces as precautionary measures to prevent untoward incidents following the incident.

The Inspector R Srinivas Reddy said that unknown persons indulged in throwing eggs on a place of worship today morning. The staff of place of worship noticed the incident and brought the issue to the police notice.

“Immediately, we rushed to the place and collected details about miscreants. A case under section 295 (A) (Deliberate and malicious acts, intended to outrage religious feelings of any class by insulting its religion) was registered,” he said.
