Weather Update: Thunderstorm, gusty winds likely to hit Telangana, AP in next 48 hours

HYDERABAD: Meteorological Department here on Monday warned that a thunderstorm accompanied with gusty winds is likely to occur at isolated places in all the districts of Telangana, Coastal Andhra Pradesh and Rayalaseema during the next two days.

In a bulletin, it also warned that heat wave conditions are likely to prevail at isolated places in all the districts of Coastal Andhra Pradesh during the same period, while the maximum temperatures are likely to be around 40 to 42 degree Celsius which is 3 to 4 above normal at a few places in the same area.

Light to moderate rain or thundershowers is likely to occur at isolated places in Telangana, Coastal Andhra Pradesh and Rayalaseema during the next five days.

Heat wave conditions prevailed at one or two places in Vishakapatnam, East Godavari, Krishna and Guntur districts of North Coastal Andhra Pradesh during the last 24 hours.

Southwest Monsoon has been weak in Telangana, Coastal Andhra Pradesh and Rayalaseema.

Rain occurred at isolated places in Telangana, Coastal Andhra Pradesh and Rayalaseema during the last 24 hours, the bulletin added.
