A tooth for a tooth: Resort staff bite patron’s finger

KARIMNAGAR: Back in the days, restaurants used to threaten patrons who do not pay their bills with kitchen work. Unfortunate for them, advent of modern electrical equipment has taken the zing out of that threat. Now, left with few arrows in their quiver, they are ‘forced’ to come up with new and innovative methods to make customers pay — literally and otherwise.
One resort in Karimnagar, that was trying to make a customer pay for the services rendered, came up with a whole new plan on Monday night.

On the lines of an eye for an eye and tooth for a tooth, the resort staff decided to employ a ‘bite for a bite’. They ganged up on the hapless patron and attempted to chew his finger off in return for the food he had eaten!  The establishment in question, Pushpanjali Country Resorts, is a repeat offender. It was booked 11 months back for hosting illegal gambling tournaments. On Monday, however, the resort manager and staff were charged for a weird attack on one of their patrons Maheshuni Nagaraju, who has a family membership with the resort.

Nagaraju used to regularly play badminton at the resort. He claims to have been complaining on the lack of proper facilities to the resort management, like maintenance of swimming pool, and the badminton court.
He claims the issues were never resolved. On Monday, he went to the restaurant at the resort for dinner.
When he was about to leave, the restaurant manager alleged that he had delayed bill payment. Soon a scuffle ensued and resort manager Vinod along with waiters Srinivas, Ravi and Nagaraju allegedly bit his finger.

Based on a complaint, the cops have registered a case against the trio. The customer had reportedly raised complaints with resort management only a day before the incidents.
