KALWAKURTHY: A 33-year-old Dalit woman was allegedly gang-raped by four youth in Kalwakurthy town of Nagarkunrool district on Monday night. The four youth were arrested and produced before the court.
According to police, four youth were identified as Mansoor, Jilani, Abid and Salman, all of them in their twenties. At around 9.30 p.m. on Monday when she was passing through a deserted area to buy medicines, the four youngsters forcibly took her to an isolated place and allegedly gang-raped her. Later the woman lodged a police complaint.
“We caught them within 24-hours and produced them before court. We will shift her to some other place and will be rehabilitated by providing job,” Sunpreeth Singh, Nagarkurnool SI said.
