HYDERABAD:  Telangana Rashtra Samithi leader KT Rama Rao responded with contrasting views to Lok Satta Party president Jayaprakash Narayan’s tweets.  On Monday, Jayaprakash Narayan complimented KT Rama Rao for his statement seeking harmony among all Telugu people and termed it pragmatic and wise. “Parties dividing and polarising people for political gains will hurt them eventually,” Jayaprakash Narayan said in a tweet.  Responding to this, Rao tweeted: “many thanks JP Garu”.

But, Rao differed with Jayaprakash Narayan’s view on Kaleshwaram project. The Lok Satta leader had said: “All major parties are guilty. Kaleshwaram will cost nearly Rs 1,00,000 crore and will cost about Rs 20,000 crore every year for maintenance.” Responding to this, Rao tweeted: “JP Garu, Kaleshwaram final cost appraisal clearance from CWC is Rs 80,190 crore. As you very well understand, investing into productive sectors can’t be treated as debt. Kaleshwaram is a project that will bring 38 lakh acres of land under cultivation and with 160 TMC storage.”

KTR rages against Andhra leaders
Nagarkurnool: In speeches in Makhtal and Achampeta, Rama Rao said that Andhra leaders had merged Telangana into AP for vested interests. He recalled how AP CM Chandrababu Naidu opposed many irrigation projects in the State.
