“Students can pursue this course with any UG or PG course. Guest faculty from the National Institute of Disaster Management (NIDM) and National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) will teach and train the volunteers in using fire equipment and other techniques to tackle emergency situations,” said Gupta.

“Disaster can occur anytime, so we should be prepared enough to tackle it. After we have a trained taskforce, special disaster response unit will be formed in all colleges. List of emergency and helpline numbers will also be made for all colleges.”
