HYDERABAD: Following Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao’s presence at Andhra Pradesh minister and TDP leader Paritala Sunitha’s son’s marriage, recently held in Anantapur, fissures have begun to appear among TDP unit leaders over the deadllock as to with which political party should the yellow party forge alliance ahead of the 2019 General Elections.

Openly opposing party’s state unit working president A Revanth Reddy’s act of siding with the Congress to take on the ruling TRS in the state, TDP veteran and party politburo member Mothkupalli Narsimhulu said they would not join hands with the Congress against the TRS government in the state in the run-up to the 2019 polls.

“Instead, we would prefer to forge alliance either with TRS or BJP for the 2019 polls. We won’t accept such acts of some of party leaders to join hands with the Congress. TDP was formed by great leader NT Rama Rao against the ideology and policies of the Congress. How can our party, whose basic ideology is to oppose the policies of Congress, join hands with Congress?” he questioned last week.

Even as TDP Telangana unit president L Ramana and Revanth are aggressively taking part in the all-party meetings being organised by the Congress and Telangana Joint Action Committee against the policies of the state government, Narsimhulu suggested that if the chief ministers of the two Telugu-speaking states, KCR and N Chandrababu Naidu, work together, such move would be helpful for the prosperity of the entire Telugu people.

Senior Leader Takes Potshots at TDP High Command

Mothkupalli Narsimhulu, who had been expecting governor post for himself, following the repeated leaks given by the TDP central leadership in this regard earlier, till the other day, last week took potshots at his party high command. Meanwhile, TDP Telangana unit working president A Revanth Reddy questioned, “Why chief minister KCR, who paid rich tributes to the slain TDP leader Parital Ravindra is not showing the same enthusiasm to pay homage to the Telangana martyrs?”
