Human rights activist Anand Teltumbde has sought sanction to prosecute Maharashtra’s Additional Director General of Police Parambir Singh for criminal defamation.
He stated that all the allegations levelled at him during the press conference are false and contended that it has damaged his long-standing hard-earned reputation as a management expert.
Teltumbde was one of the several Dalit thinkers whose homes were raided on August 28 by Pune police in connection with Bhima-Koregaon violence of January 1.

Five Left-wing activists were arrested during the searches and they are under house arrest till September 6 as per a Supreme Court direction. Teltumbde is not among them.
