According to police, 625 kilogram of firecrackers were seized from Sadar Bazar, 11.1 kg firecrackers and 7.9 kg firecrackers were seized by teams from Subzi Mandi and Burari police stations.
On October 23, the apex court had said firecrackers can be burst only between 8 p.m. and 10 p.m. on Diwali and other religious festivals.
The court had stated that people would be allowed to burst firecrackers only between 8 pm and 10 pm on the Diwali day which falls on November 7 this year.
