The Capital bagged 11th position in Education, 25th in governance, 19th in identity and culture, 17th in safety and security, 18th in economy.
No cities in Kerala figured in the top 10 rank of the first Ease of Living Index released by the Union Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs on Monday.
The seven cities are Chennai, Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Greater Mumbai, Surat, Ahmedabad and New Delhi. This is the first such exercise undertaken by the ministry.

While Tirupati secured first place in social institutions category, Vijayawada stood eighth.
According to the ministry, Greater Mumbai has been ranked three, followed by Triputi, Chandigarh, Thane, Raipur, Indore, Vijaywada and Bhopal.
