The statement by Sanjeev S Kalgaonkar comes in the wake of the recent collegium decision of transferring the Madras High Court Chief Justice V K Tahilramani to Meghalaya High Court.
Even as the bar ends the protest over recent transfer of the Chief Justice Vijaya K Tahilramani, there are dissenting voices calling for reforms in the Supreme Court's collegium system.
The collegium which met on Tuesday said that it is not possible to accede to Tahilramani's request to reconsider her transfer to Meghalaya High Court.
The association urged its members to abstain from court work across the state till Sept 7.
The Collegium has also recommended appointment of Justice Oka as Chief Justice in Karnataka High Court.
The case relates to an article published by the paper on the perks and facilities for retired judges and their families.
