In an apparent climbdown, the management of St Thomas Central School has decided to “have a re-look” at its decision to expel a Class XII male student for hugging a junior girl
A 12th standard student, who was suspended by his school for hugging a girl, is planning to appeal against a high court order upholding the suspension as he hopes to appear for his board exams.
The Kerala High Court has upheld the decision of the St Thomas Central School, expelling and suspending the students for hugging in the school and uploading their photos on Instagram.
When a boy hugging a girl is all it takes for a school to kick them out, alarm bells should start ringing. Sadly, the episode at St Thomas Central School is no isolated incident.
