Former speaker of Gujarat assembly, Vajubhai Vala, will take oath as the new Governor of Karnataka on Monday. Siddaramaiah added he would have welcomed any person, had he been consulted by the Narendra Modi-led government. Vala will take the oath of office and secrecy under the Chief Justice of Karnataka High Court, DH Waghela. Addressing a gathering organised by the Bangladesh Chatra (Students') League, the students front of the ruling Awami League party, Hasina said that the trials of the war criminals were in progress. The member students had also organised a rally to mourn the deceased Sheikh Mujibur Rahman. Prime Minister Hasina said that the Bangladeshi's agitation towards the incident cannot be stopped. Hasina, on August16, also alleged that the founder of the opposition, Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP), Ziaur Rahman was involved in the killing of Mujibur. Sunil Kumar was arrested at the Pathankot Air Force base for trying to sell India-related defense information to a Pakistani woman, Meena Raina. The cyber squad of the Pathankot air base monitored his movements via the internet with Raina and saved the conversations. After accumulating enough evidence against Kumar, Indian Air Force removed him from his post and handed him over to the police. Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP), Pathankot, Rakesh Koushal, said Kumar had shared a lot of information within a short span of time.
