The best-selling author of the Harry Potter series, J K Rowling, who is known for being active Twitter, criticised US President Donald Trump on her handle for allegedly ignoring a 3-year-old-boy who was in a wheel chair.

Trump was meeting with "victims of Obamacare" before meeting the media on July 24, 2017.

Rowling's tweet thread goes like -  “Trump imitated a disabled reporter. Now he pretends not to see a child in a wheelchair, as though frightened he might catch his condition,” Rowling said.

“This monster of narcissism values only himself and his pale reflections. The disabled, minorities, transgender people, the poor, women (unless related to him by ties of blood, and therefore his creations) are treated with contempt, because they do not resemble Trump.

“My mother used a wheelchair. I witnessed people uncomfortable around her disability, but if they had a shred of decency they got over it. So yes, that clip of Trump looking deliberately over a disabled child’s head, ignoring his outstretched hand, has touched me on the raw."

“That man occupies the most powerful office in the free world and his daily outrages against civilised norms are having a corrosive effect. How stunning, and how horrible, that Trump cannot bring himself to shake the hand of a small boy who only wanted to touch the president.”

The reference for Rowling's anger was a short video which was circulating in the web showing the President apparently ignoring the boy.

Except he didn't.

An official video released by the White House shows Donald Trump greeting the boy.

Rowling, whose Twitter spat with detractors and celebrities like journalist Piers Morgan is well known, has neither deleted her tweet nor issued an apology.

Piers Morgan, not missing his chance tweeted:

JK Rowling, in 8 tweets, raged that Trump snubbed a disabled boy.

This is Trump greeting that boy.  Why won't she delete & apologise?

Others followed. CNN host Brian Stelter:

One of them, author of 'Citizens for Trump', Jack Posobiec tweeted of a screenshot in which the child's mother has issued a clarification on her Facebook page.
