34 militants killed in Afghanistan

The militants were killed during the cleanup operations in Chamtal district on Saturday.

KABUL: Thirty-four militants were killed and 18 others injured in Afghanistan's Balkh province during security operations, a police official said on Sunday.

"The militants were killed during the cleanup operations in Chamtal district on Saturday," the official told Xinhua news agency. Two security personnel were also injured.
