At least nine militants were killed and 10 others injured in a battle between the Afghan security forces and Taliban fighters in Ghazni province of Afghanistan, a security official said Tuesday.
"The operation which was launched against Taliban rebels in parts of Deyak district Monday night and lasted for a few hours had left nine rebels dead and injured 10 others," Nazifullah Sultani, an army spokesman in the province, told Xinhua.
However, he did not say if there were any casualties among the security forces.
