BENGALURU: Medwell Ventures, which operates Nightingales Home Health Services, said on Wednesday that it has raised $21 million in Series B funding from Mahindra Partners and other investors.
Nightingale’s home health business has grown rapidly since its launch in 2014 in Bengaluru. From a single branch, it now has 13 branches across Hyderabad, Mumbai, Bengaluru and Pune. The new funds received will be used to expand the branches in the national capital region and Chennai and in eastern India following that.

Nightangale now has over 1,000 people working for it since the company is not into aggregating staff and has a strict quality control process for training for its medical, paramedical and healthcare professionals. It is delivering more than 25,000 services per month with over 18,000 membership and wellness plans delivered annually.
This expansion was funded by a $10-million Series A round led by Eight Roads Ventures in 2015. The company is providing out-of-hospital care plans for patients with chronic diseases. Medical care professionals arrive on call and provide dental care, respiratory care, wound management and home ICU services. Comprehensive physiotherapy solutions are also available at the patient’s home.
