THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: A national-level technical and cultural fest (PAACET Fest 2009) will be held under the aegis of the P.A. Aziz College of Engineering and Technology from March 5 to 8 at Thiruvananthapuram. Addressing a news conference, Dr P.R. Sreemahadevan Pillai, principal of the college, said the festival would be held on the college campus at Karakulam on March 5 and 6. On the other days, it will be held at Kanakakkunnu Palace and at Nishagandhi. He said students from 300 colleges would participate in the festival.
He said the winners would be given the golden rolling trophy weighing 151 sovereigns of 22 carat gold. Cash awards will be given to the individual winners. In the technical contest, competitions will be held on paper presentation, general quiz, CAD Design, Auto CAD, Mat lab, Circuit debugging, Coding, Robo path finder, Troublesome Connection and other events. In the cultural contest, jam, mock press, adzap, pencil sketching, face painting, solo dance, rock show, fashion show etc. will be held.
